About Clark Amplification
I would like to say a few words regarding the great team we have at Clark Amplification. I am extremely blessed to have these people around me. My company absolutely wouldn’t roll without them.

Ryan “Jonas” Owen
Jonas is the chief builder/technician at Clark Amplification and does a fantastic job.  Born in Texas, he joined the Marines out of high school and worked as an Avionics Tech/Aircraft Electrician on F-18's. He has been with me since around 2004. He is the one you are most likely to talk to when you call Clark Amplification and is extremely knowledgeable about all my amps. He has his own band and plays primarily bass with some electric guitar. He has been building his own tube bass amps for several years now. When you talk about tone, speakers and electronics, he is an excellent source of information.

Mike Fore
Mike drops by the shop several times a week. Although not a paid employee, he likes to hang out to talk and help.  He has been disabled for a couple of years now and this helps get him out of the house and around something he loves, tube amps. Mike has been playing harp for as long as he can remember and has played with all the somebody's around.  We like to let him tweak our amps for harp tone. He has a thing about the mojo of the amps. It’s something about how the electrons in the amplifiers have to be in alignment with the movement of the tones, or how notes move through the wire, capacitors, resistors and transformers. I am somewhat of a skeptic, however I let him make his adjustments as needed. Admittedly, the amps do sound better when he’s done with them.

Teresa Clark
Teresa is the absolute brains behind this operation. She does all of our packaging and shipping and has the extraordinary ability to get anything we build to any part of this planet without damage. I think she knows all the ins and outs of shipping all over the world. She also keeps the books, watches our two children, takes care of the house and does payroll.  She knows what is going on in Clark Amps.

About Michael Clark
Michael has always loved electronics and by the age of 6, had a tendency to take apart far more than he could put back together. This resulted in his parents having to hide tools from him! He learned how to build crystal radio sets using razor blades as detectors as well as how to wind his own coils and build antennas.
Also during this period, Michael began playing guitar and played in various bands. Although he describes the music as absolutely terrible, people danced.
Eventually, Michael joined the Army and went to electronics school at Fort Monmouth where he studied vacuum tube theory and practical application of tube electronics. After leaving the service, Michael's career in amp repair began. It has progressed over the years from hobby to business. He has spent many years restoring almost every Fender, Marshall, Vox, Ampeg and Gibson amp out there as well as many other brands. When asked about his philosophy on amp building, Michael responds, "Since business started in the early '90's, I have consistently tried to improve the quality and detail of every amp that comes out of my shop. I want everyone to have something special when they purchase a product from me."
